I love SEX...in the City!

Sex in the City 2 trailer is out!  The movie premieres on May 28, 2010.  And judging by the trailer, it looks like another must-see!

At least a must-see for anyone who loves fashion, interior design, and event planning... So you can definitely expect this movie to inspire a lot of new posts!

Click HERE to watch the movie trailer! (I haven't figured out how to post videos, yet...so if anybody knows, please tell me!)

Things I'm already loving from the trailer:
- Song: Empire State of Mind by Jay-Z & Alicia Keys (Plus we're going to be in New York for New Year's Eve, so now I'm even more psyched!)
- Charlotte's cute pick cupcakes in her beautiful white kitchen (I know, I'm a dork!)
- Samantha's cut-out black dress, which I'm assuming is Herve Leger
- That peacock color of Carrie's closet
- The setting of them having cocktails in the desert.  It makes me want to throw a fabulous pool side party!

7 Last minute gift ideas that you can find at...the Grocery Store!

Going to the mall this time of year can be harder than fighting over the last Christmas cookie!  So we put together some gift ideas that you can find at your local grocery store!  You can thank us later...

1. Wine - This is the easiest go-to gift when you're in a rush to attend a holiday party.  Want to make your gift stand out?  Wrap a bottle in a dish towel for a 2-in-1 hostess gift!

2. Potted herb/flower - I love receiving plants as a gift because every time I go and water my plants, I think of the person who gave me this wonderful gift!

3. Green on the Go set! - Green is the new black.  So for that trendy individual that's always on the go, put together a Go Green set!  Get one of those reusable grocery bags that are available at any grocery store , with a reusable water bottle and some organic energy bars in it, and you have a custom gift that is fun and good for the environment! Plus you're saving on wrapping paper...double whammy!

4. Gift Cards - Now grocery stores carry gift cards for numerous retailers.  So you're bound to find something that your gift receiver will like.  And if you still don't know what to get (which is why you've resorted to a gift card), who can't use a gift card for the grocery store?

5. Spice Set - We had to include something on the list for that person the Chef on your list!  Put together a Holiday Set with Cinammon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Vanilla Extract and Peppermint Extract.  Stick in this recipe for delicious French Toast Casserole from AllRecipes.com to finish it off!

Ingredients:
5 cups bread cubes
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup white sugar, divided
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon margarine, softened
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly butter an 8x8 inch baking pan. Line bottom of pan with bread cubes. In a large bowl, beat together eggs, milk, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt and vanilla. pour egg mixture over bread. Dot with margarine; let stand for 10 minutes. Combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar with 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over the top. Bake in preheated oven about 45 to 50 minutes, until top is golden.
Makes 6 Servings, Prep Time: 30 Minutes, Cook Time: 50 Minutes

6. Magazine Subscription - Purchase a magazine that your gift receiver will love, and fill out one of those cards that they always stick inside.  You can give this magazine when you see the person, and let them know that they'll be receiving your gift all year long!

7. Homemade Hot Chocolate Blend - Put together your favorite mix for Hot Chocolate in a cute tupperware, jar, or even brown paper bag for a great holiday gift!  Blend together your own mix of cocoa powder, sugar, cinammon, chocolate chips, milk powder, non-dairy creamer, salt and some mini marshmallows and your done!  This is a great gift if you have multiple people to that you left for the last minute...

Now, that you know what you need get going on your gift shopping at your nearest grocery store!  And if you have other grocery store gift ideas, send us a note!  Happy Holidays!

What should I wear tonight...hmmmm? We have the answer!

The Little Black Dress (LBD) is like the holy grail of fashion. We never stop looking for it. And once we have found it, it seems like all our questions have been answered - clothing wise at least.  I think we have found the ultimate LBD for everyone!

It goes by different names, and you might have heard of it before:
- Infinite/Infinity Dress
- Convertible Dress
- 100 Way Dress

Looks like nothing special, right?  But then check this out:

Want to purchase it?  Here's a link: Butter by Nadia

AMAZING!  The idea is that the straps can be tied in various ways to create different looks. And variations of this dress can be made with different skirt shapes, placement of the straps, color, fabrics...etc.  The concept is pretty simple. It's a simple skirt attached to 2 very long straps that can tied anyway you like!

The dress is sold by various designers, and with this dress, you never have to worry about what your going to wear for your next event!  You'll never have to worry about someone wearing the same dress:  just go to the restroom, modify the straps, and within seconds, you'll have a brand new look!

Here's some other samples:

Purchase at The Infinite Dress

If you can afford the price tag, this Donna Karan can be purchased from places that carry Donna Karan. This variation has more of a Sheath dress look that is understated, but flattering at the same time.

OR, if you can't afford the price tag, and have a little sewing machine know-how, here's a tutorial that teaches you how to make the dress (which is surprisingly simple!).

 Find out how at: Rostichery

Prices range from a couple of dollars (if you make is yourself) to close to $1,000 for the Donna Karen version.

TIP: Use this dress as a Bridesmaid dress. This dress will fit and flatter everyone, and they'll all be unique and different, but be uniform at the same time. And it's a dress that a Bridesmaid can actually wear again. (If you ever seen 27 dresses with Katherine Heigel, you'll know what I mean...)

Remember EVERYTHING

Remember everything. is the motto to the website Evernote, and it's true to its word!

It's an online website that allows you to keep notes of just about everything.  Now, for those of you who are thinking "I hate taking notes!", this might change your mind.

This website allows you to save anything you ever want to remember.  And you'll be able to access it from anywhere with internet access: home, work, your iPhone...  Great for people like me who take a lot of notes, but hate carrying around a ton of stuff.  For example, you stumble on a website (HINT: sor[+]!) and see a great tip you want to recall for later...just copy and paste it onto your Evernote account, then recall it when you need it.

And in Evernote, you can then organize your "notes" into various "notebooks".  The website is FREE, unless you want to upgrade.  But for simple daily use, I get enough usage from the free version.

According to this website, you can save
- Your own notes/memos/to-do lists
- Webclips
- Images
- Webcam images
- Voice memos
- PDFs
- Excel Files
- Word Files
- Screenshot (I love this feature, as you can see from all of the screenshots in this blog!)

This year, I used Evernote to make my Christmas gift list for my friends & family.  It's great because anytime I saw a possible gift idea for someone on my list, I just copy and pasted it into my HOLIDAYS notebook, along with images and prices.  This helps me keep track of gifts, and stay within my budget!

My favorite feature is their SEARCH option.  You can find anything you've ever taken notes on just by typing it into search.  Evernote can even search for words within images! So take a WebCam image of any notes, and you'll be able to "search" it later.  (I wish I had this when I was in high school!)

TIP: Reduce clutter by copying or taking images of any receipts, medical records, bills, notes to self, etc...and save it in Evernote.  That way, you can access it from anywhere, and it'll be saved in the database in case there are ever any accidents with the originals.

IKEA sale!

For fellow Ikea fans, they are having a sale beginning tomorrow, December 18th until January 3rd!  Selected items are 20% to 60% off.  In addition, there are having one-day offers on certain items, that we can all use!

Like these Champagne glasses for only $0.25 each on December 26th!  Perfect for anyone throwing a New Year's Eve party, or just to stock up!

Go to Ikea to check what else you might not know you needed!  (By the way, we are not endorsed by Ikea in any way, we just wanted to share our love for this amazing store.)

TIP: For those who know me, you'll know I love anything wedding planning and saving money!  So this would be a great  to pick up for anyone planning a wedding.  (Quantities are limited per person, so bring your friends!)  It'll be cheaper than renting the glassware. AND after the wedding, dontate those that you don't want to charity.  You're saving money, doing a good deed, and looking at a tax write-off!  Can't go wrong with that!
